The Tea Barn Utah is a cozy café tucked into a busy stretch of Orem’s State Street that offers a quiet refuge away from the typical coffee chain scene. This spot feels intimate, with a small, thoughtfully decorated interior that invites visitors to slow down and savor their drink. It’s the kind of place where locals come to unwind, catch up with friends, or explore tea flavors that go beyond the usual options.

The menu leans heavily into unique and carefully crafted tea-based beverages, especially matcha in several inventive variations, like the Matcha Ube Cream or Orange Matcha Einspanner. For anyone interested in tea beyond basic brewing, the selection shows care in combining flavors, often integrating fruit or creamy elements to balance earthier notes. The orange-infused drinks stand out for their refreshing quality, ideal for warmer days. Alongside the drinks, small bites like warmed Tteok samplers and fish buns provide a comforting, light accompaniment.

The service here tends to be warm and approachable, with staff who are willing to guide visitors through the more unusual menu items rather than leaving them to guess. This thoughtful interaction fits well with the café’s small, personable atmosphere, where the quiet clink of cups and soft conversations feel at home. It’s a spot that fits well both for casual solo visits when someone wants time with a book or laptop, and for relaxed meetups with friends who appreciate unique drinks in a setting that’s more intimate than a typical coffee shop.

Morning and early afternoon visits seem ideal—there’s a calm energy during these times, making it a good pick for a midday break or a gentle start to the day. The ambiance has hints of a slightly quirky charm, with playful decor that adds character without overwhelming the experience. Whether you’re drawn by a curiosity for specialized teas or simply want a less crowded place to enjoy a thoughtfully prepared drink, The Tea Barn Utah offers a distinct taste of Orem’s evolving local café scene.

The inside is so cute! It’s a great place to get a drink with friends. I wasn’t sure what to get and the servers were so helpful in helping me select a drink. I got the orange americano and it was AMAZING. Their orange flavor is so refreshing. The drink was perfect for a hot day

Staff were welcoming and kind. They explained the menu item patiently. I love the small atmosphere and the decorations. My favorite were the cheong drinks. It was refreshing. The cookie was still too sweet for my liking, but it did taste really good the first couple bites. I would highly recommend trying their drinks out.

The most unique, flavorful, and high quality teas I’ve ever had! Thought and care is taken into account during every step of creating their drinks! The staff were so sweet, the environment adorably funky, and everything we tried I would order again in a heartbeat!

As someone that has tried a lot of matcha places. This place is small and cute. The matcha is great with fresh fruit! The fish buns are delectable and warm.

Staff were personable and friendly. I asked for a recommendation and left with a drink with an -incredible- flavor combination (hojicha and orange cheong.) Amazing! The warmed Tteok sampler was wonderful. This local business is also raising food and support for our community, I would highly recommend stepping in

Cute little tea shop. Got the Korean ginger & jujube tea, both were delicious. Also tried a few desserts which were also yummy.

Following a friend's recovery, we drove 35 miles to try out this cute Korean cafe. I have to say, it was absolutely worth it. The space is creatively and uniquely designed. It's filled with random pieces of furniture and even has a free old school "photo booth". Instant love! I got myself a pistachio orange matcha latte and my sister got coconut water topped with pandan cream, with honey rice cake and yakgwa on the side. They were all delightful! I was impressed by their collection of their homemade cheong, which they use as sweetener for their drinks. Highly recommend!!!
